I’ll bet that got your attention…it sure got mine this a.m. about 5:37 when my bed started shaking violently!  I was pretty deep in sleep and my first though was “earthquake!!” followed quickly by “nahhhhhhh.”  I quickly decided it must have been a big truck out on the street and looked out the window.  In the movies, after an earthquake there are usually lots of fires, leaping flames and smoke and I saw none of that so I went back to bed.

An hour later I was awakened by my friend Crystal who said the TV was reporting that there had been an earthquake at around 5:30 a.m.!!  From that moment until now, Louisville has been buzzing about the earthquake and everyone is telling their story about what they thought the rumbling was about.  Many people blamed their poor pets for the commotion.  An amazing number of folks thought it was a tornado.   I’ve asked myself if there is a musical connection here but at the moment I can’t think of one.  If there were, it would be something in a minor key with slow, ponderous chords??  What do you think?
