About the Brain and Music

I’ve always been fascinated by the powerful effect that music has on the human mind, body and spirit.  In the 1990’s neuroscientists began to study music’s effect on the brain in a whole new way.  Today there  are hundreds of scientific, as well as lay, websites that discuss the fascinating world of music and it’s impact on the brain.

The well-known seer of past generations, Edgar Cayce, wrote that “music will be the medicine of the future.”  Although he didn’t know the specifics of how music would be found to affect the brain, he knew that music had healing powers that had not yet begun to be tapped.

The purpose of this blog is to inform my readers about how music affects the brain and report on the latest research on music and the brain.  I hope you’ll subscribe to the blog RSS and begin this exciting journet with me.
