Music being used in Hawaiian OR's!

I don’t know about you, but I still think of Hawaii as Paradise!  I’ve been twice now and it’s just as beautiful as the movies and travel books portray it.  I’m not sure whether most people think of it as a place on the cutting edge of medical procedures.  Thanks to my dear friend and mentor, Dr. Artur Harvey, music is now being used in the OR’s there and in at least one instance, Dr. Harvey was playing classical music live in the OR during an ophthalmic procedure!  Since I have not yet really figured out how to add pictures to my posts here, I will refer you to my surgery blog “Surgery with Music.”  Please enjoy this post in the surgery blog and read the previous ones while you’re there!  Happy Friday!!  Alice
